Citizens TV Inc. is a nonprofit corporation that has been providing inexpensive television to the Walla Walla Valley since 1956.  The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licenses Citizens TV as a “translator” to rebroadcast television stations that are too distant to be received directly.  From a transmitter site on Basket Mountain 7 miles southeast Milton-Freewater, Citizens TV offers 41 different channels from 12 stations in Portland and Pendleton, Oregon and Spokane and the Tri-Cities, Washington.

For a list of the channels we offer, please see the Citizens TV Channel List and our new Program Schedule for these channels.    Our signal can be received in most of the Walla Walla Valley by using an outside UHF antenna.  For a brief explanation on how to select and install an antenna, see Installing an antenna.

Citizens TV is governed by a Board of Directors elected at an Annual Meeting in the autumn of each year.  Anyone who contributes financial assistance is a member and is eligible to vote.  Contributors are notified of the time and place of the Annual Meeting.
